Rockin R’ Rhythm Riders/MPHA Drill Team

This 4-H based, precision mounted drill team is now in its 17th year and was the 2003/2009 & 2012 Kentucky State Champions as well as the 5 time 4-H National Drill team champions.

The squad consists of all gaited horses and includes 21 registered Mountain Pleasure Horses. They are the ONLY all gaited juvenile 4-H team in the state of Kentucky, and routinely compete with non-gaited, performance horses.

The group has performed at many sanctioned, charity and benefit horse shows over the past 14 years. We demonstrate annually at Breyerfest, the Ky Roundup, Equine Affaire, and the Ky Horse Park Parade of Breeds. We also ride in parades, perform demonstrations for local nursing homes and provide “horse ride days” for the Ky Association of the Deaf/Blind and the Big Brother/Big Sister programs. In addition, the team participates in yearly fund raising for the St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

The squad ranges in riders from 4-65 years of age and include youth from Montgomery, Menifee, Bath, Bourbon, Clark, Fayette and Powell Counties. The team is proudly coached by the mother-daughter team of Robin Little-Basil and Jenna Ratliff, 4^th generation breeders of this fabulous, foundation breed.
